
At YNEC, we delivered the Passenger Terminal Building and allied infrastructure works for the New Greenfield Airport at Hirasar, Rajkot under a comprehensive EPC framework. The project represents a significant regional aviation infrastructure development executed to stringent airport performance, safety, and operational standards. The terminal is designed to handle approximately 1,800 passengers per hour at peak capacity, positioning it as a key regional aviation hub with scalable operational capability.
EPC Scope
The scope comprises the detailed design and construction of the Integrated Passenger Terminal Building, along with the ATC Tower cum Technical Block, including structural, architectural, façade, and comprehensive MEP works. It also covers internal roads, car parking, landscaping, drainage systems, STP, and complete interior fit-outs. The terminal façade is designed to meet structural, thermal, acoustic, and waterproofing performance requirements in compliance with ECBC guidelines. In addition, the scope includes a 7-year Operation and Maintenance period, along with AICMC, incorporating a 2-year Defect Liability Period.
Structure
The terminal infrastructure was engineered with operational redundancy and reliability, incorporating 500 TR Chiller Plant (2W + 1S configuration), 1250 KVA transformers with standby DG systems, 266 KW Solar PV installation Integrated BMS, Fire Detection & Firefighting Systems CCTV surveillance & Public Address systems. The successful completion of this airport terminal reinforces our capability to deliver technically demanding, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects through precision engineering, disciplined execution, and integrated project management excellence.
