Yashnand Engineers & Contractors Pvt. Ltd., in joint venture with Shanti Constructions (Guj.) Pvt. Ltd., executed the design and construction of a large-scale affordable housing township at Tarodi (Khurd), Nagpur under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing for All Mission. The project was undertaken for the Nagpur Improvement Trust as part of the government’s initiative to create sustainable residential infrastructure for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) communities. The development comprised the construction of 2,374 dwelling units distributed across 64 residential buildings along with supporting community infrastructure including a yoga centre building and a shopping complex, creating an integrated residential neighbourhood with essential social amenities. The project covered a total built-up area of approximately 90,062 sq. m. across a site area of about 64,236 sq. m. Construction was executed using MIVAN aluminium formwork technology to enable rapid construction cycles and consistent structural quality across the residential blocks. The scope included complete civil construction along with integrated building services and external infrastructure works including sanitary and plumbing networks, internal electrical installations, external firefighting systems, water supply infrastructure, and drainage networks supported by two sewage treatment plants of 600 KLD capacity each. The development also incorporated internal roads, flexible pavements, paver block pathways, street lighting, landscaping and plantation works, along with 320 kW solar panel installations supporting sustainable energy infrastructure.
